Dad's Birthday Card/Altered Top Note Die

I created the shape by rotating the top note die cut 90 degrees after the initial cut. Then I masked the white area and sponged.

Stamps: Lovely Letters, retired hostess set
Ink: Night of Navy, Brocade Blue
Paper: Night of Navy, WW
Accessories: sponges, stamp-a-ma-jig, top note die, big shot

My Husband's Birthday Card

The inside reads: Thanks for always "supporting" us. You deserve the best birthday! However, someone suggested "You deserve the breast birthday." That would have worked too. Brian likes my cards, but I can never make one that is truly masculine and shows off my card-making talents. I really like this one. I didn't come up with the idea, I found it online.

Enjoy!

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Taken With Teal
Paper: Taken With Teal, Certainly Celery, Blush Blossom, non-stampin UP dsp
Accessories: scallop punch, modern label punch, word window punch, top note die cut, big shot, 1 3/8 circle punch

Build-A-Bear

Introducing the new Build-A-Bear stamp sets from Stampin UP! I did NOT think I would like these stamps, but I thought they would make great cards. I really like them now because I love to color. The set includes a boy and girl bear with accessories: party hat, bag, flower, and balloon. I'll post more photos soon.

(One more thing: The Whisper White card stock was cut using the top note punch and big shot machine. After cutting the top note, turn the paper 90 degrees and run through the machine again.)

Same card: two designs

Daisies Die Cut

I LOVE this die cut from Stampin UP! Looking at it in the catalog, I didn't think it was very pretty, but I was wrong! The first photo is a post-it note holder. It is a magnetic, acrylic frame, so you can hang it on the refrigerator. I am still going to alter a pen and attach it. The second photo is a fun daisy card. Enjoy!

I love this stamp set: All In The Family. I made this card for a friend's birthday. Some friends and I went together on a gift, so we attached this card.

This is the card that never ends....

This is my first attempt at the "Never-Ending Card." Watch the video below to learn how to make the card. This video is from Dawn Griffith at www.dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com

The images are in order. There are four different cards within the one card, which measures 6x6 inches. (not sure why the last image is sideways, I'll try to fix it.)

Cool Color Combo

I love this color combination: chocolate chip, baja breeze, and not quite navy. Unfortunately, baja breeze will soon be retiring. Enjoy this paper/ink while you can.

I used reverse masking on this card. Using the square scallop punch, I punched a square area, then sponged baja breeze through the mask, onto very vanilla card stock.

Stamps: Trendy Trees
Ink: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Chocolate Chip ribbon, scallop edge punch, scallop square punch, sponge

I made many different versions of this card, but have given them all away. This is the only one I still have and the greeting is crooked. In my other versions, I used chocolate chip ribbon across the bottom and tied different types of bows. It was much prettier than this card.

Stamps: Flight of the Butterfly, Sincere Salutations
Ink: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla

One of my favorite stamp sets

This is one of my new favorite stamp sets: Flight of the Butterfly. I've made a lot of cards with this set and will post them as soon as I photographic them. I saw a card like this one on Splitcoast and changed it a little. Here is the link to that card: Butterfly Wishes
Stamps: Thank You Kindly, Flight of the Butterfly
Ink: Only Orange, Yo Yo Yellow, Pink Passion, Taken with Teal, Certainly Celery
Paper: Whisper White, Pink Passion, Taken with Teal

Tri-Fold Swing Card

I can't remember what the exact name of this card design is called: tri-fold, swing, who knows. Anyway, I really liked this card and was quite proud of it. I made it for Molly's first birthday. I used the masking technique to cover the hippos while sponging the "ground" beneath their feet. I also used masking by punching a flower from the Boho Blossom punch, laying it on the paper, and sponging over the top with Rose Red ink (same color as the paper). I think it turned out really well.

Stamps: Pun Fun, Party Hearty, Sale-A-Bration 2009 Polka Dot Punches Set
Ink: Rose Red, Basic Black
Paper: Rose Red, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Raspberry Tart DSP
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, gel pen, blender pens, scallop circle punch, pastel brad, boho blossoms punch, circle punches
